Implemented by HCL Infosystems Ltd., in BOO model

Biometric Attendance Project

Biometric Attendance & Computer Aided Learning System project is initiated by Tribal Development Department along with Education Department wherein the attendance of students, teachers, staff members, trainers and other officials are tracked using biometrics technology. The project is implemented in 8 tribal districts of Gujarat and covered all educational institutes and offices of TDD and Primary and Upper Primary schools of Education Department in tribal areas. A computer-based fingerprint system marks the attendance at school or office level and then sent records automatically to the district-headquarters and state headquarters for generating MIS reports. The project also involves deployment of education software to all schools on a monthly rotation basis. This education content will cover the entire course curriculum in Gujarati or English to facilitate teachers. The rollout phase for Zone I (Sabarkantha, Banaskantha, Panchmahal and Dahod) and Zone II (Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat and Tapi) is completed in collaboration with HCL Infosystems Ltd. Implementation in Zone III (Navsari, Valsad and Dangs) is under process.
